I often see these vessels dotting about the Forth when I'm back in Fife and, being a bit of a nerd, check them out on Ship Tracking sites to see what they are and from where....

This one's registered in the Bahamas...

I like it Douglas and as me, when ships are passing by, we too try to see where they originate from. But registered is one thing, where they really come from is another.

A fine oil platform supplier Douglas, Bahamas registered so they can sail under there rules, jurisdiction and employment regulation rather than where it is deployed. Don't know why but I almost always find such vessels anchored in bays close by as quite menacing.

A great image this Douglas. Love the inclusion of the factory/mill in the distance. Maybe it's me but I detect a tiny ribble of blue/gray left in the lower sky. I think it looks great but perhaps I'm wrong.

Thanks Tom...the building in the background is Cockenzie Power Station, now closed, about 8 miles east of Edinburgh...

The blue/grey is on purpose...it's more of a tint than a B&W conversion...
