Lou Reed

I just watched a superb tribute / semi-documentary to / about Lou Reed on the BBC iPlayer. And at the weekend I re-organised all my LPs and was just thing that I hadn't played any Velvet Underground / Lou Reed for ages (I'd forgotten just how many albums of his I had - basically all). So after the programme it was easy to fish out Transformer (which is playing as I type - damn that is one beautifully produced album Mr Bowie) and I think it will be a bit of Velvet Underground before bed (or mane Nico).

Lou Reed: 1942 - 2013 - gone but not forgotten.

A big chunk of the credit for Transformer should go to the dearly departed, Mick Ronson. Great album. But the banana album is still my favourite - just so different from everything else, then or now, and just so perfect.
