Gorgeous!

That's one piece of gear that occasionally crosses my mind but I think rather than a drone I'd more likely end up with a good refractor, guide scope and mount.

thanks. i use drones at work a lot. yesterday i was on standby to fly indoors (from an outdoor lz) for 8 hours only to get cut loose at the very last second due to severe storms. i went home, the drone came a little while later, charged it, did the firmware update and flew for 5 minutes before the next storm rolled through.

i've really looked at the seestar telescope/camera combo, but the image specs are so underwhelming right now. and i don't really have the time for yet another camera related hobby. i'll stick with mw shots for now and leave the deep space images as a pipe dream.

That's probably all they are for me, despite having purchased a good set of books to scare me away. I think the likelihood of me actually being able to spend the time needed to get all of the individual shots needed (and then learn to use PixInSight and Siril) is slim.

i use sequator instead of pixinsight for stacking images. it's pretty simple to use.

wow - wow - wow (spoken low and long)

Just curious was this cropped or is this the native (pano) aspect?
thanks gary. this was cropped into the pano aspect. dji's sensor setup on this drone has me a little confused. it's a 3:2 ratio on a micro four thirds sensor.
