May trees - in May

They do seem to be extraordinarily well furnished with blossom this year, don't they?
I like to see them just before the flowers open fully out - up close, they look like tiny, compact roses.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, getting lots of fresh air; work as a gardener all week, go hill walking on Sundays. Those trees are on a south facing slope, the winds are predominantly from the south.

Dave, you are welcome to spend a "busman's holiday" in my fecund garden anytime you like. In the words of Woody Allen, "I'm at two with nature"! There are more weeds than non weeds. The only saving grace is that my neighbour's garden is even worse...

Thank you for the comments folks.

Roshni; take photos of things you find interesting and you will probably get interesting pictures.

Rob; tell yourself that they are not weeds, they are native Scottish wildflowers. A weed is just a plant in the wrong place, a Scottish wildflower belongs in Scotland, so it is not a weed. The local birds and insects prefer native plants to some fancy hybrid that belongs in Kenya too. On top of that, they are easier to look after and they are free!

Haha, love it! Yes, I do try that Scottish weeds argument, and also claim that our garden has been deliberately cultivated (the non-intervention kind) as a habitat for birds and insects. On most of my videos you can hear birds chirping just outside the window. They know a good banquet when they see one!
