Thank you, Keith. Yes, I got very close to take the photo, moving very slowly so as not to scare them off. I was undecided whether to post a colour photo (I only do digital, and I apologise for that) and in which you could also see the environmental context around it, but in the end I opted for a nostalgic, very washed-out black and white and a crop that highlighted the geometry of the square mass of the mother cow.

Yes, there is also this deception of perception... but it was only two.

On the same day, this little foal gave me a glance of a very different kind: highly disappointed after realising that my camera was inedible.
