I have just purchased...almost accidentally, a Minolta XG-M camera c/w 50mm, 28mm (vivitar), 80-205mm hoya zoom/macro & vivitar x2 teleconverter....Oh..& a bucket full of filters!
It was a little bid of £12.50 + £12 carriage

This is my first venture back into the realms of film photography; so I will be hunting advice like no tomorrow...

Does anyone have any experience & views on this camera?

Looking at a few details about it, it seems to be a nice simple to use camera, if you need the manual for it check it out here:

Minolta XG-M instruction manual, user manual, PDF manual, free manuals

It sounds like you have a really good setup if it came with lenses as well, looks like you have a wide, normal and zoom tele lens as well :D

I would get yourself down to poundland and grab some cheap film to run through it, be very careful 'accidentally' purchasing cameras, its quite addictive!
