More modernist school architecture

Since Hamish got us going with some arch photos of his alma mater, and I had a few of my local school, I thought I'd pile on with more from my own alma mater...

Here's the Swiss Foundation in Paris, which is a dorm and research center owned by the Swiss government, affiliated with the University of Paris:

And the House of India, which is also primarily a dorm and social center for Indian students in Paris:

Finally, the House of Iran at the University of Paris, which changed hands after the revolution in 1979:

Thanks, Brian. Yes, I try to always bring a small, travel tripod with me on trips like this. It's small enough to fit into my roller carry-on suitcase.

I like, but te third I really like! A perfectly chosen shutter speed ... You have got my thinking about a couple of shots I could take in Worcester with that one!!

Look forward to seeing what you come up with, Hamish.

Incidentally, the first building is far and away the most famous. It was done in 1930 by Le Corbusier, who is probably Europe's most famous modern architect, and one of the most celebrated who ever lived. It's incredible to think to when it was designed, and how strange it must have seemed to everyone at the time.
