Junction pack horse bridge to Leek branch (this branch was built as a feeder from Rudyard lake) but became a lucrative branch as cotton mills were built in Leek so they could use the canal

At the car park always call in for a coffee and breakfast after the morning walk (also means I can use there car park) and because Im a regular and there are a few £3.50 including coffee the board price is £4.99 without coffee in summer in winter you go around the back via the kitchen as they dont open up the front then

Thanks Steve

Thanks Beth it is the first time I have ever managed to get a still morning and a reflection at the lock as its very open just there but this morning was perfect (was the quiet before the storm though as its now gales and rain outside)
