Mother's Day Scrabble!

You can see from the last that the table is right up against window, so I had to really invade the pitch, so to speak, to get anything other than backs of heads. So, they all stopped arguing and just gave me evil stares. There are a few shots I wouldn't dare place online!

For the record, as ever, Susan won...

wow now there very good rob, very documentary style, you have done well i also love the BW conversions, these IMO wouldn't look right in colour.

Yes your brave to get in there way during a hard core session of scrabble, did you show the girls you pics ?? if so what did they think??

Pic 1 is my fav even though if looks could kill lol, also love the concentration on the lady with darker hair as she looks at her letters...........brilliant

Great work

The photographer and his three generation of ladies. Beautifully done, Rob. The camera has been a wonderful hiding tool for me. It seems like it works for you too. In addition, the romantic era guitar playing is the cream on the cake when it comes to be the ambassador of peace. :)

Rob every so often you come up with some brilliance in the image department. I know from what I have heard through my own ears, you are a very talented musician. This same artistic talent from time to time is transferred through and into your image making. The pic with Susan's mum looking up, Susan full of thought is simply brilliant.
The angle from the camera , the treatment given as B+W is making it as a whole a joined up story and joined up, set of images.

Well, thank you very much, Julian. I quite like that one myself, and wish I could be more consistent. I appreciate your comments very much.

Rob I looked through one of Pablo's sketch books one time, to find quite a bit of it was very iffy in terms of draftsmanship, or hitting his signature. Just verifying to me that everyone has their off days :D .

But I'm way better than Picasso, surely?! ;)

Now that's the Rob we Know, back fighting :D

After three women and a day of scrabble , anything is achievable.

Yes Picasso, old hat, they say there is a lot happening, post modern up in Scotty land.
Or is Post Modern Now old Hat? I have not been in touch of late.

I've no idea what is happening in the art world here. Ever since conceptual art declared the idea was more important than the object, I've thought the idea of going to a gallery was more important than actually going to a gallery, so have stayed at home. We do get some amazing old master exhibitions here, including, recently, Picasso. I do love his Blue Period stuff, though apparently I'm not meant to!

That first shot's a cracker! And funny.

We have scrabble battles in oor hoose as well. It is civil war, and monie a dictionary has been cast unfairly into disrepute.

Delightful logic! :)
