It was. We didn't go in though. Most places seem to play jazz as background.

If they left an Eames chair out in front here in the US, it would last about 2 minutes.... Nice photo! Jazz is very popular in Japan. A lot of my jazz recordings are actually original US releases now only available from Japan. I really hope to go there one day.

I think pretty well everywhere we went had jazz playing in the background. Except for the Karaoke bar - that sounded more like thrash metal to me!
