I was looking for an EXIF reader to find out the shutter count of my D3

I found something called "exif tool"
not much use to me, as it just brought up a black dos box thingy ...
I then found a GUI for it called ExifTool Gui ... Bonus

Imported a photo to test, it worked, so i started looking for shutter count, on the first photo that came to hand which was from a set of Connie.

At the bottom of one of the lists it says "face detection" and "face positions"

There is no face detection feature on the X100??
Yet it does detect faces ... ??
How odd!

Can anyone think of why it would do this?
maybe just part of the firmware they programmed but chose not to use?

Ha ... apparently im not the only one to have found this in exactly the way The X100 GOT face recognition! - Fujifilm FinePix X100 Enthusiasts Forumsomeone points out that this is possibly to do with auto red eye reduction - good thinking that!!Would be interesting if they do add it as a feature in a later firmware upgrade, i'd be interested ... despite previous comments on face detection, to see if it improved focusing speed under "snap shot" conditions!
