If you like, you can call it "a dramatic and profound reflection on human existence and our relationship to nature on the cusp of the 21st century". (Perhaps I can make some dough out of it!) ;)

This is looking west over the Bolsa Chica Wetlands in late afternoon. Huntington Beach, California.

I thought I'd experiment a little with my Konica I by shooting directly into the sun to see what I got.

Huntington Beach still has a lot of pumps pulling oil from deep underground. You can see a few in the distance.

I used Efke 100 film, which I developed in Rodinal diluted to 1:25.
 
I would call it, " The pictorial embodiment of the mark industry has made on what was a primal society"
 
I very much like that shot, Brian. The sun reflections really make it, and being familiar with this spot, I can say you've captured it well.
