I took this photo of my son in his grandfathers garage lastyear, I'd be interested what people thought and how I could improve it?

And so do I. I especially like the placement of your son and the fact that he is looking out of frame. The controls the exposure is just right I think and there is enough details of the interior to add interest without distracting from the main subject. A fine shot indeed.

Thanks Pete, I was taking a few images of him down there (He loves his grandads garage) with him looking at the camera but they weren't working at all and then he looked outside at something and I snapped this, I really like this shot myself.

I also think it is very good, but I wish that I would see what caught his attention Otherwise a portrait in such a very nice light would call for more pictures where also he faces you.
