NEARLY A SCOOP

You know when you see a situation unfolding, sometimes you visualise the ending. In this case I did. At St.Ives, beautiful sunny day, school half term with the streets and harbour of St.Ives, bustling with people on holiday. Looking across the harbour at a boat being launched, a small hire boat, the vehicle that towed the boat got stuck in the sand. The tide was already flooding at quite a quick pace. The sand had a hold of the front tires. Ok so at this point I realise the vehicle is going to be stuck.

My visualization of the photograph, was a stranded vehicle, with the driver stood on the roof as they both floated along.

Now one part of me thought what a shame, but the other half, probably the bigger half thought, what a great photo.
It did not come about. In the end the vehicle did get rescued by the RNLI caterpillar tractor .

The car is stuck

At this point it all looks hopeless, I then visualise the photo I might get. A floating vehicle with the driver on top, waving.

Then the car drives away.

. A small audience watching on. I am not sure how many boats they hired out later that day?

Beautifully told story, Julian.
By the end of your presentation I was convinced that the little 4 wheeler had a charming character. :)
