Need ideas for interesting items for my apartment

Hi all,

I am looking to add a few interesting items to my apartment, sort of inline with the Victorian curiosity cabinets, however not animal based but more mechanical.

Here are a few items I am thinking of getting:

Orrery
Sextant
Curta calculator (waaaay out my budget lol)

I might also look at getting a few nicely sliced rocks/minerals

What other interesting items do people suggest I look at getting, they would need to be small and interesting and preferably not crazy expensive lol.

I seem to have built up a large collection of exotic seed pods (mostly from the gift shot at the Biosphäre in Potsdam). Some are pretty bizarre. And the only cost a couple of Euros each!

I have a feeling they might be stopped by UK customs lol plus you do have some uber nice equipment in which to photograph them

Just seen a few nice repro sextants so I might go with one of those, I will also get myself a gas mask, looking at some of the russian GP-5 surplus ones
