I like that first one very much, Rob! the composition is spot on for me, and the contrast between the sunny and shady sides really pops out. The overall bluish tone suits it too. Very nice.

Thanks, Brian. The building really is a bluish-grey colour. And the sky was an incredible blue today, but it was very cold. I like that first shot, but I confess to having put little thought into it. I just looked up, thought, "That looks interesting", and took a quick snap on auto setting. Turned out great. Not sure what I think of the sun spots, whether it would be better with or without them. Man, I love this camera!

I just took them off flickr an hour ago, as I thought they were boring. Glad you like that one. I was impressed with the camera quality on auto.
