NEW YEARS DAY

Had to get out the house, so took a short trip to Newquay on north coast. I live on the south coast. it is about 20-40 minutes ride depending on the emits about. I found myself once again in the harbour amongst the boats.
The 12-50 kit lens on the OM-D is ok for a stroll and more than adequate for my photography a lot of the time.

Almost surreal quality to the first three. The eye in the sand of the first, the strange beat in the third - even the colours of the third are Dali-esque. Great set!

That last one is VERY Dali landscapeish...

Wonderful stuff! Love the color in #3 and also the beachscape but all these images are very very good. I like #1 especially also; it has a beautiful brown/golden tone and with that comp I think you should frame it. (Your footprints Julian?)

Thanks Folk for the nice comments. Yes Brian looking at the prints they do look like Brasher walking shoe thread.. Funny thing is normally I look for untouched sand, but on this occasion I thought the print added something. It was also a good time for the pocket. I had been thinking about purchasing a 12mm f2 prime, quite costly. You all know how it works, the seed of the idea, lust desire grows and grows until we give in. taking the kit zoom and using the 12mm end, even though it is f3.5 -f6.5 or something similar , it does ok as long as I don't lust for f2.
