Ha! Both crackers, but the colour wins it for me, easily. The building looks like it was designed by Mondrian. Although a simple picture, there is a lot of interesting detail, such as the ladders on the wall. Wonderful, Julian.

Thanks Rob , yes I see the connection. I quite liked the straight forward organised composition.

Yes, definitely colour even if only for the way the building and boat have picked up the light and thrown a little glow back on to the water.. Lovely colour shot. Nothing wrong with the mono either; it can stand up for itself no problem.

Thanks Tom , what I like about the colour one is the slight smoggy oily look which does reflect the oil and grime around the harbour and although no fishing vessels are in sight each side and in front of me were forty or so large trawler , either being worked on, being re-fitted or ready to go to sea, a very industrial scene with this backdrop. .

Agree with Rob, the color wins
Thanks Aldous.

Super stuff again Julian and I too like the colour version the most. As Tom says, the B&W one stands well as an image, but the colour has more depth an interest and I think you have summed up why very nicely.
Thank you Pete
Colour for me as well, some great abstarcts on your flickr page :)
Thank you Nick, I certainly enjoyed finding some of the wobble technique abstracts on flickr along with the more conventional ones. Thanks.

I have to agree with all above and I like the way you characterised it by the words " smoggy oily look," it can't be described any better.
