Night Time Jetty

A misty evening and managed to take a short break onto the jetty at Mevagissey. One very noticeable problem, the harbour being a private entity , they for I presume financial reason still use those orange lights, which gives an unavoidable yellow cast, so the images need playing with a bit. Yet they came out ok, almost looking like stage lighting.

I saw the HAM box the other week! I must admit that I envy you being able to visit without all the people. I could see the charm in the place, but I hate crowds and I didn't stay very long. I had planned to stick around until dusk, but the car park only allowed me three hours, which wouldn't have been enough anyway. I love these :)

Wonderful feel Julian. I really like #1. I do wonder what the labels mean. HAM?
Thanks Glenn, the boats put there name on most of their gear. As in this case net bins to keep a track of it. A fishing vessel went down from Mevagissey eighteen months ago with loss of life,
often in searches these marking are also a quick way of identity, but not the primary reason for them.

Thanks Lesely, almost overnight last week the visitors dissipated. A few in the day but no numbers at all to speak of in the evening now. I also find the crowds difficult which is why i love the early mornings and evenings/night time.
Yep the council car park is short stay, the reason being i think , it is primary for the doctors surgery and locals need to have spaces to visit. So it is for practical reason realy. Often the best bet it the harbour itself to park on the west side. Not overly expensive for the hours you get.
I'm kicking myself a bit as I aught to has got in contact and got a coffee either at Heligan or somewhere. If you are ever this way again, do say.

Don't worry about it. I would have passed on some very nasty germs this time - I was quite green around the gills by the time I got to Heligan. I feel there is more to Cornwall that I would like to explore, but I'm not sure about all that driving again. I think I will see how I feel after Christmas and start planning in the New Year :)

Yes and for sure let me know if you do have a plan.
