Edit - I have written my thoughts in much greater detail here on my blog

Before I bought the Ricoh I managed to pick up a Nikon AF600, they seem to be pretty hard to come across, but when they do come up they sell for very little! I paid £16 for mine, and thats a lot of cash by all accounts!
It is a rare beasty in as much as it has a 28mm fixed lens... They are few and far between it seems. The max aperture is f/3.5.

Settings wise its pretty sparse, various fairly standard flash modes - slow sync, red eye, auto, on and off. Infinity focus lock, self timer and a double shot self timer... thats pretty much your lot!

I've run the standard roll of xp2 through it ... nice results ...
Not quite the 'pop' somehow of the yashica t5, the images are sharp - my scans show very little difference in sharpness between it and the t5, but they don't quite have ... not sure, maybe the yashica has a touch more contrasty lens. I just prefer the images from the zeiss on the yashy ... Thats not to put down the Nikon, for £16 its a bargain and a half in my books!

Cheers Pete!
The flash, or at least exposure when using the flash isn't quite as good as the yashica either ... Bit bad though!
Focusing doesn't appear as accurate either!

I guess the reality is, as good a lens this camera might have it comes with a cheap (but mostly adequate camera)
