NO TEA - TOO MANY HOLES

Did you know that the song which goes, "There's a hole in my bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza" is a euphemism for becoming impotent? Not that I'm casting nasturtiums at you, Julian!

It's bedtime...Nice shot...zzzzzz

From Hank Williams' version:

Well, I went upon the mountain
I looked down in the sea
I seen the crabs and the fishes
Doin' the be-bop-bee

'Cause my bucket's got a hole in it
Yeah, my bucket's got a hole in it
Yeah, my bucket's got a hole in it
I can't buy no beer

Others in the same vein are Muddy Waters' Can't Be Satisfied, and the Stones' Satisfaction.

Anyway, now I'm awake, I see that Julian's is not a bucket, but a watering can. So, that was an interesting little diversion.

Beautiful shot, Julian. Love the head. And the framing does add to the voyeuristic vibe Pete mentioned, as if you are peeking through slats in a fence. Naughty boy! Have a beer :D

Interesting still life, Julian. Lots to look at in the picture (and to think about compliments of Rob).
Thank you Brian. Just in from a whole day being on the poolside, an indoor pool , horrible, hot muggy chlorine atmosphere and feeling for too weak and brain dead to decipher what is in the brackets. ;)

I'll just have to join the choir. People seem to, if not take care of, but rather keep a lot of rubbish in Cornwall, waiting for Julian to come around and make it into art. Well done again Sir. And thanks Rob for bringing to me old Hank and a version I haven't heard before as I sit here and join in on the refrain.

A I thank you kindly for such a harmonious voice. The rubbish is an instillation in my mothers garden., or at least I like to think so. Interesting though as some of those objects were around as far back as I can remember. Simple things such as the enamelled teapot, for some reason registered strongly as a child, I wonder if Teflon frying pans do for today's child:D

They might, but neither you nor me shall be around to tell.:(
