someone I know recently invited me to a musical event, with the idea of attempting to flog some of my pictures to the band. little did I know, that the concept of lighting was a novel one!



in the absence of sharpness, I then took a more artistic approach. dunno if it works for you?



given the genre of music (loud fast & shouty), I'm inclined to crank the iso up to the max just in the name of making a kind of 'look'.

I think the "look" works well. "Cigarette smoke" reminds me that I started playing again just before the ban came in. It used to be straight into the shower when I got home but I don't think that works for cameras.

It gets rid of the smell fine actually. But...

I really like these too Peter especially the first. And, I can imagine the band liking them too as they convey such energy.

I think no 1 is the better of the two. Have you thought about going mono on no 2, withs bags of contrast it might just work well.
