Noswaith dda!......... from a wet and windy Wales.

I know very little about the technical aspects, carry a camera everywhere and have just received a lovely little X10 whilst the Chief of Staff, who can smell a courier delivery at a thousand paces, was out shopping with her friends.

Please don't tell me that is a despicable thing to do because I know it is. I am as full of remorse as a person who has an Honours Degree in Remorsefulness and will only use the X10 on sunny days here in Wales.......so it will probably remain in the box!

Welcome Pat

Full respect for your achievement of MoR it takes many years of FUBAR to make the grade ;)

I have had the X10 for some time now as my go everywhere camera, there are a number of X men here, be brave and take her out to the hills, the X10 that is :D

Hi Pat. Welcome to the forum. I have and X100, so that makes me ten times better than you  Only kidding! You'll find lots of support here, no matter at what level you arrive here. I'm learning a lot from this forum.

Welcome Pat, I'm sure your bravery (discretion being the better part of valour and all that) in smuggling the necessary kit required for operation exposure will pay off.

I have heard that Chief of Staffs are only out ranked by the Mother in Law - The Minister of War!

Hi Pat!
Welcome to the forum!

I recently jumped ship from the fuji "x" to sony "r" ... I suppose im an x fuji x, oh r im sony r now ...
im talking ****...

Anyway, can I ask how you found this site ... im intrigued due to a abnormal influx of members today ... nothing to worry about, just intrigue ... :)

A thousand thanks for your kind welcomes. I am currently in my shed scrimming up the X10 as the COS has phoned her RTU time. Operation Dastardly Deed is almost over.

Pete I will bring it out even when it is raining as I have ordered myself to grow up and get a grip (or was it a Gariz half case)?

Rob, I too have an X100 but they were becoming rather common (!) in our lovely Valley so I decided to give Fuji Refurbs a go and get the delightful X10 at a stunning price. They sent me a brand new one, in a brand new box. Which was nice.

(I don't consider myself 10.10 times better than you though as you clearly know what you are doing.)

Paul my COS outranks God. I would never ever cross her. Hence my shameful and weedy actions of today.

Cracking camera though!

Whilst perusing the X10 and X100 forums on the Deep Penetration website, my ire was ired at the frankly git like responses and to sooth my annoyance I broke a life long pledge to never drink a Single Malt again.

Pouring a cheeky, yet warming, double of Highland Park, I by chance read a post which shouted from the hilltops that this site was populated by a really nice bunch of helpful people who knew the meaning of good manners and were more than kind to numpties. Fitting that description to a tee, I decided to join and the rest, as they say, is histoire.

Or they do when falling off the Eiffel Tower having run out of zoom.

Nice to be aboard but I warn you and all. Ask me anything about photography and I will only give Name, Rank and Number. But if you want advice on invading or looking smart whilst eliminating the odd grid square or two then I am your man.

Slàinte mhath!

You'll soon realise Pat that now you have to give Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO when questioned from now on.

Schmae Pat, welcome to the forums,
Which valleys do you come from?
Adam :)

It has been said that there are few political issues too complex to be solved with a discreet application of high explosives.

Sounds like an excellent name for a Cape Breton Celtic fusion band. :D

I'll drink to that. (Single malt is well recognized as a health food.)
