Not Lucy

The Bowers Museum, where Meg and I had gone today to see Lucy, has a large exhibit of Chinese culture and ancient artifacts. On one wall there hangs this giant illustration framed and under glass. The damned thing must be 7 or 8 feet wide and 3 feet tall. It depicts a mountain range and a valley and a stream and so on.

While gazing intensely at the image in order to record every detail in my brain, I noticed the artist had cleverly included an illusion that could easily be seen as a light reflection with a seated hominid. (No,...not Lucy.)

I find this type of illusory art most intriguing.

Canon 7D and Tokina 11-16 f2.8.
