Not quite how it's supposed to go..

When things don't quite go to plan.... I messed up loading the spiral. I'd loaded quite a bit of it and it felt like it had come to the end, no more coming out of the cassette (or so my tired brain thought). It wasn't until I was playing with the end sticking out of the cassette once back out of the changing bag that I discovered that the film must have snagged on the lip of the cassette. It was definitely NOT finished, as about 8 inches of film slithered forth before my brain registered.... too late. The air turned a little blue before I stuffed it back in the 'bag and managed to load the remainder on to the spiral (just in case there was anything left unexposed). At a quick reckoning I lost about half a dozen frames.

Oh dear. I feel for you. I did try home development, but found the whole experience too nerve-wracking.

Of course, those half-dozen frames were your greatest ever!
