Old Stuff - 22

Gary, when I saw this image it seemed like one of those photographs by some American author from the 70s. Black and white with the kids looking at us in expectation, something that would seem difficult to capture in these days.
Kind of Mary Ellen Mark, Garry Winogrand or Susan Meiselas...

You can tell it's a wide angle and then I read it was made with a Nikon F, the mythical and robust machine that I myself had for about six months, but a few years later in 72. There was something special about that camera - the weight, the solidity, the sound of the shutter that inspired confidence.

The composition and captured moment reveal an experienced eye, someone who understands the visual language of street photography.
I genuinely like the image ! 👍

Thank you Antonio. The F was a superb tool ... Yes, the balance, the solid bulletproof build, the access to wonderful Nikkor lenses, the simplicity and ease of executing camera controls ... Yes, the camera inspired confidence. Shooting the F, one knew they could not blame the camera for failure.

PS- This was most likely shot around 1974 when I was attending college.

PPS- Shooting the meterless F significantly improved and focused my eye's ability to qualify and translate existing light into an acceptable exposure equation ... which, in-turn ... helped me see 'the light' ... incident light, reflective light and quality of light.
