Olympus Pen E-PL3

Funny you should say that Darren...... No I haven't :D :D :D
Although I'd love to hear if anyone has myself. I was looking at some Oly lenses in a mag this week and the micro 4/3's are becoming more and more popular over the slowly out fashioned 4/3's. :)

There are so many compact system cameras available now it's hard to keep track!
I'd live to be able to help more but I've not used one ...
I think to a point they are a much for muchness the m4/3rds cameras
The pannys have touch screens, the olys don't ...
They all seem to take decent photos, pretty much SLR quality ...
My advice is always the same, go down you local independant stockist and try a few in the hand!
Take a memory card with you and take some photos in raw (if you shoot raw?) at various isos and see what you think!
But really, I doubt you can go far wrong!
Have a look at DPR, they recently did a CSC round up for the year...
Just bare in mind, with CES jan 10th we could be expecting some new releases very soon that might bring down prices of current models and will be on the shelves by end of march!

No experience of this camera but I have a GH2 (as a second video camera). It is also µ4/3. I have only had a brief play with it for stills but couldn't get enthusiastic about it. There is an interesting running review of the NEX cameras on Luminous Landscape you might find useful though. I think I'd be quite tempted by one of them if I was in the market for a µ4/3 stills camera.

Well i went to the store today to look at the E-PL3, and being the compulsive spender i am probably walk out with one. Unfortunately holding it in person it just didn't ring my bell. Looking at it on line i was really keen. Not sure exactly what it was, maybe not used to the small size, but also the lenses just looked/felt cheap. There's something about silver plastic that just looks cheap. Also looking at it on line it looks like anodised brushed aluminiun, but it feels lacquered or plastic coated. Oh well, maybe i'll just buy a 3D tv instead so i can use my fujifilm W3 3D camera more.
