Critique Welcomed On the beaches of Oregon, USA

I like this a lot, Ivar. The figure on the cliff edge really takes it to another level. I'm wondering who made the footprints. Your good self?

Thank you Rob. No this beach is much visited I gather, by quite a few people at times. The person on the cliff is no one I know, but a photographer at HIS vantage point. I chose another.

Yes, it was a lovely place. Funnily, my experience is, that being born and brought up by the seaside, one is always fascinated by the sea, especially when one is away from it for some time.
So true Ivar, when a teenager I hopped across to Brittany in the attempt to hitch down across France. No other plans just to see where I would arrive. From Roscoff I headed to central France and found after a couple of days pining for the sea and ended hitching toward the coast and with some relief, felt at home once I paddled in the sea. Am I really a fish out of water? Most undoubtedly I am .

This is a great composition, Ivar, and I kinda like how the sea/sky fades of into the sun at the upper right. I might have processed it a bit differently, but it is a very strong image as is. Agree with Rob that the figure on the cliff adds a lot and puts the whole thing in scale.

I would probably try bringing up the shadow detail a bit more on the beach, and softening the contrast a bit.
