Out of date developer?

Worth the risk?

ive got some ddx that's been kept in the ilford bottle unsealed for over a year ... Risk it? Buy new?
if risk longer dev times?

Buy new. I used some Ilfosol S that was out of date (granted by more than yours) and trashed several films. If you have a scrap of film you could text it but I wouldn't risk it.

I'm with Pete. though, I've never used any developer other than Rodinal or instant coffee, Rodinal is the only developer that I would trust when its old.

what about rapid fix and stop ... They are alright right? I feel out of touch, it's only been a year since I've dipped my toe...
ive got 6 rolls of delta 3200 that need pushing various amounts ... But can't really afford a whole load of chems at the mo :/

Can you sacrifice a few frames? Just cut a bit off the end and just stick it on a spool and check out the dev etc.
