Its been agesssssssssssssssss possibly months since i picked up my camera, so today i thought i would see what i could do still life type shots (as its been pi$$ing down all day) so i have just been playing around with my semi automatic pistol

I think they are lovely images Darren, it was Hamish who said they were rubbish, honest!


I do like the tones in the first and the smoke in the second is a very nice touch. The lighting works well on it too.

How about some self-timer stuff with the gun in your hand, maybe held at the side, head obscure and moody light? Could be an interesting theme.

It's been raining all day here too.

the sepia isn't working for me on the first, but that's just one fool's opinion.. love the post processing on the second, i think the first would look sweet with the same tones. and the smoke is pretty cool. love the comp. and shallow dof in both.

Are things that bad in Manchester you need a semi automatic pistol for your visits home!!!.....

Nice shots Daz, how about placing an incense stick in the end of the barrel so you get the smoke coming from the end as if it's just been fired?
