I like the symmetry in the first one and the BW really makes it work. Did you tweak the sky a bit with a gradient on the 2nd?

Looks just like Bexhill-on-Sea!! I really like the colour version. Is there a spot of CP going on. If so, how about a touch more yellow in the filtering?

cheers folks, i prefer the B&W first one, i didn't use a CP or even my photoshop ND Grad filter, i simply increased Luminance of colour blue (darker) in adobe raw during PP.

I like the symmetry of the first one but I find the mid grey tones a bit dark which for me gives the image a bit of flat look. I would lift the contrast in the paving a bit. I also like the way the bottom railing lies just below the horizon.
