It looks like everything is decaying apart from the Madonna and Child - so choosing colour is better than a picture in Dorian grey..., where the opposite was true.

A simple and beautiful image. The colouring is incredibly lovely and the statue stands perfectly against the darkness of the arch. The uncared-for nature of the building and the walls along the steps , plus the odd window out at the top all make got great viewing.
