Pentax Optio 750Z: Digital Photography Review

Been wanting this for a while as outside of Canon A650 & Nikon P7xxx its the only larger sensor compact 1/1.8" upto approx 200mm (38-188) swivel screen (afaik).
Quite rare on ebay. Although there is currently one on ebay & i got mine with a direct offer of £30 (seller ended listing on £14 !).

Pros:
1/1.8" 38mm-188mm
2cm macro
iso 80
fully manual
lots of customisable
different modes : filters, light meter (!), 3d, panorama
Photo2127.jpg

swivel screen
small & chunky

Cons :
soft lens
sloooow : to focus, shoot, zoom,
fiddly : all those modes can make it fiddlesome
not image stabilised
only iso 400
f2.8-4.6 wont do shallow dof unless really close to subject.

(I wont keep it as when i took it to greenwich park yesterday evening 5.30-6pm i really could have done with image stabilised & iso1600 which with swivel screen points to canon a650).

Thanks Pete. I deleted the photo as it just wasnt natural (too articifical).
750z i cant really recommend even though it has much going for it.
Having had a canon a610, which i found simpler, with a sharp lens (& 1/1.8" sensor)
i would say canon A650 Canon PowerShot A650 IS: Digital Photography Review (going by reviews) is a finer proposition.
