Pentland Hills In The Distance

Stunning Rob. A genius at work. What a great spot , the scene is worth returning to many times and capturing the different light.

As I mentioned on Flickr reminded me of , Hunters in the snow by Pieter Bruegel.

This, Rob, needs to be published in a travel magazine at the least.
Perfectamundo!
It certainly convinced me to visit Edinburgh again.

Sumptuous stuff - so much detail, and almost painterly quality to the tones

There is definitely something about the X-Trans - it really has a 'magic' to it

Thanks, guys. And hand-held too. I was lucky with the light at that moment. Set the aperture to f.18, rather than the full f.22. Must try it again with a tripod at f.22.

Nihat - I would love you to visit Edinburgh again. I'll give you a photographic tour

Reminds me of something that might have been posted as an example of an image from the Leica Monochrome. Why do I think that? Dunno! Except it's a wonderful monochrome image! Nicely done, Rob.

that's just lovely, I especially like the look of the line of clouds on the left (and the sky in general) and... all the other bits too. The level of detail is stunning, I just spent ten minutes zoomed into the extra large version just looking at everything.

Amazing Mural! This explains why Flickr went to "maintenance mode" the day you published this Rob.
