Great stuff Brian. Another good article from that site. One day I will have to have a go at this. I do own a laboratory after all so it shouldn't be that difficult!!

I gather that timing is critical since once you wet the plate with the emulsion you have just ten minutes or so. Would love to see you give it a go, Pete!
The 19th Century processes did produce lovely images, Hamish.

These really are wonderful aren't they. And the concept and the way it has been executed is truly impressive. The expressions, shallow focus and superb tonality really make these images special. I guess the nature of the technique also adds to the contemplative nature of them too.
