I always compose in English and I have been speaking English Brian, since I was ten. I have studied the language since, and some ScotsLong story. I do compose poems in Norwegian as well, but not often. Sadly the Norwegian language has fewer words and is considered troublesome in regard to be eloquent in communications. Haven't you heard Mr. Stoltenberg? It is my mother's tongue however, but as my wife's language is English, and we met under circumstances where English was spoken, we have naturally continued in this manner. I have no say in this respect and even if I had, I would not. I also spent much of my juvenile time in B.C. with family. It is quite natural to me. Sorry for the long answer.
