Picked up a few new "old" things...

I ended up meeting an awesome local retired photographer a while ago to buy some 4x5 negative holders. We got along well, and a little while later he sent me a list of a few things he had for sale, and because I have zero self control for cool cameras to add to my rotation I bought a few things. Always great making new photography friends - especially when they have decades more experience and are willing to teach a few things. He isn't on here - but special thanks to Ken.

Nikon F2 , Nikkormat FT2 , Canon Eos 3, and a Leica IIF w/ Summicron 50mmF2.
Also picked up several interesting lenses to go with each one.

He also had the neat Leica viewfinder that has a variable fov for multiple lenses - so I got that too, and it had some pretty good lens haze and was probably 30% optically clear, so I took it apart and fixed it. Probably 85% as clear as it was new. When I garner more courage I will disassemble it a bit further to get to the last (front) element. This is my first Leica, and since it is a Barnack Leica I am looking forward to it's quirks.

I now have the overwhelming desire to buy a MK I or II Canon 5D to complement the Eos 3 since the only other Canon I own is a "new" F-1.

Well, Ken has done you proud it seems: what a fine ‘haul’. You should have done a photo-essay on that service!

“Rotation” what a great term to suggest that it is not an ever-growing collection. I think I might start using it; although my rotation cycle is very, very long! :)

lol, well by rotation I mean roughly every week I switch cameras - that way they all get used. Throughout my career history I have learned not to let mechanical things sit. Unfortunately since my probl..I mean addic….errrr obsess….dammit….my camera rescue (yeah, that is it!) keeps growing in numbers I can shoot a different camera every week and not shoot the same one twice for a little over 3/4 a year. lol.
