Must admit, it took a while to spot the pigeon. A moody place.

Same pigeon in 1+3. They were in no mood to fly anywhere.

One of the advantages of living here is the haars that drift in at this time of year. Do people here use the word haar? It’s apparently an old English word that is still common in Scotland for sea fog.

I know the word, but rarely need to use it. Though, I never used the word 'spindrift' in my entire life until recently!

My wife - lexicographer - tells me I am wrong. The word haar appears to have been from Old Norse, possibly arriving here from Middle Dutch, 17th-century.

Never heard haar used in my part of the world, but thanks to a dear family friend of Scotts decent I do use the word dreich.
