Thanks Brian. That is an interesting looking device. By the look of it, you can fit different size pinholes. Is that true? Is the shutter a simple slide or a leaf shutter (I think I can see a couple of lines on it). Thanks for posting these.

Thank you Brian. I know it might seem strange to ask you for pics of a pinhole but it has helped alot in the quest of improvement. The pinhole and shutter mechanism on yours are all matte black on the front and back. Something I had completely over looked as the inside of mine I had left shiny.

Now thinking about it as the light hits the sensor it also reflects on the the shiny side giving me a " this is the voice of the misterons" type ring effect all over the image . I think that must be why.

Bad image I know but it's a pic of the screen.

So a sharper hole and matte finish on the back side is what I'll try next.

I literally have been learning all of this over a couple of weeks so bear whith me Brian if my questions seem a bit stupid.

Thanks for your help matey.

you can fit different size pinholes
Its not designed for that Pete. It's just designed to maintain the one size pinhole. You could modify it yourself for a different size pinhole, but I think you might be shooting yourself in the foot, since the pinhole size is supposed to be optimized for the distance between the lens and the film.

Is the shutter a simple slide or a leaf shutter
It's just a slide, Pete.

Absolutely, Tom. I'm no expert, but I'll help where I can.

And yes,...I'd recommend matte black finish over the bright bits of your homemade pinhole mechanism.

Ah Holga ,I have the standard Holga Pin hole 0.25mm f192 really should follow your example Brian use it for the reason I bought it. :D
