Mooching around the internet reading about various voigtlander cameras and discovered this:

http://voigtlander.pagesperso-orange.fr/

Thought it worth sharing as it is about the most comprehensive list of classic voigtlander cameras and varitions there of.
Obviously its of particular interest to me as i have started to collect voigtlanders again :)

there is also a pretty extensive list of various accessories which has proved pretty useful for me today in my hunt for a close up adapter for my vitomatic iia

The only thing that it doesnt seem to cover are the more modern Cosina-Voigtlander ranges ...

... Which is where Camera Quest comes in handy

Cool site, Hamish! I thought I had a "Bessa I" but it turns out I have a Bessa. I'd like to get a Berghiel some day. (Brassai used a Bergheil, and so I suppose I'd also have to illuminate dramatic night shots of people with a magnesium flare. My wife is not going to be delighted with that! :-)

yeah, Id thought that when you posted it, just assumed you knew something i didn't ... the I is a much more modern looking bit of kit! Have you seen the newest version

sexy bit of kit that!

Berghiel ... im not sure i would now where to start!
and i think id be on your wifes side with that one ... id be far to scared to set fire to magnesium!

I will ask my friend who retired from photography a few years ago if he has any Voigtlaender's. He had a massive collection of old cameras on shelves in his studio but when he moved out he packed most of them away (and gave quite a lot away also). He may not even want anything (or at least not much for them) especially if he knew that they were going to be used. Haven't forgotten the Mamiya, but Asun keeps forgetting to bring it over. Hopefully next week I can send it. Where?

My office address is on my work website ... that would probably be best! Cheers again Pete im really looking forward to it!
Just need to get some nice 120 film ... might get some reala i think ... and some delta! ... really cant wait!

As for your friends collection, thats also amazing! I would definitely use them!!

... Blimey! now that would be a treat!
Im not sure the word 'play' is right when talking about hassleblad gear is it?
Im not sure i would cope with using someone elses Hassleblad... might be to scared :)

Hey Hamish,

I was also having a browse and found this website that contains a lot of scans for manuals of Voigtlander cameras.

http://www.butkus.org/chinon/voigtlander_pdf/voigtlander_pdf_manuals.htm

Just picked up Voigtlander Vitomatic 11a myself for £3.66 of the bay. All working except the RF, but hoping it will be an easy fix (won't know until I open it up), worst case scenario I've only lost a few quid.

Ben

... thats good going!
Did it have the little bit of plastic for incedent readings that i was so pleased to find
....
What is wrong with the RF?
you might find it quite complicated to fix due to the lens coupling ... getting it calibrated would be the hardest part id guess?
all else fails ...
this is the key http://www.realphotographersforum.com/content/281-How-to-Zone-Scale-Focus

to be honest, i find i zone focus a lot more than use the rf anyway, because it only goes to 500th, and you will no doubt only really be using it in daylight, you tend to be shooting at small apertures with larger DOF ... because of zone focus is very easy and much quicker than using the RF anyway

The camera is due to arrive today, then hopefully will find out what the damage is. Could be the the small lens has slipped out of it's holding. Or it could be worse. But as you say it's not essential to the camera so if it can't be fixed I'll still have a great little camera. As for the little bit of plastic, again I won't know for sure until it arrives but it has no case so I'm not overly hopeful.

Seen some really nice Voigtlanders on eBay but going for a lot of money.

Cheers for the link on the scale focus, that will be very handy for me.

I did, I too was watching but then the price got too high for me, lovely set up. Shame the postage was so high too, £25, seriously!

I even said to Alice how jealous you would have been if I had won it, ha ha.

HAHA ... Yes, i would certainly have been a little green eyed!
At least i could have had a go with it ...
BTW, in case you are watching it ... can i have dibs on the VSL1 please :)
We are going to have to monitor what each other are bidding on here i think!
Im well chuffed you love the voigtlander thang enough to start getting some!
You just need to move to worcester now so we can share them ;)

Ha ha, that's a very good point, we could end up screwing each other on cost. I know that I am gonna end up buying a few, stupid OCD, means I end up collecting all sorts.

Even looking at stuff to sell now to get more, oh dear. Next time I am up I'll bring my collection with me.
