Hi guys!

Recently, I have seen this video on youtube channel - the art of photography. It was about the re-interpretations of a theme by different photographers. What do you think?

Cheers :)

OK, I've watched it. I've watched one of his videos before, and his speed of delivery is difficult to follow at times, but he generally has interesting things to say, despite a tendency to sum up something he likes as "cool".

As for the topic at hand - reinterpretation - I found it interesting, and every image he chose to illustrate his talk with was a great image. I really enjoyed seeing all of them, especially the first few flower images (which is something I plan to do a lot more of, and actually have in mind something very similar).

Inevitably, reinterpretation spills over into homage, as mentioned, and there I have a few concerns. It's a much-abused term these days, when a photographer, artist or musician does something very like someone else's work, and they feel compelled to utter, "It's an homage!". But the ones featured in the video seemed to be genuine homages.

So, an interesting video, but your interpretation might differ ;)
