New here. Hi y'all! Had a look around before finding this area. So far I'm impressed and very hopeful friendly and helpful can fit like a glove.
I'm Australian married to a Texan Belle, so living in Texas. Retired from work with a younger wife who still works, leaving me lots of hours to potter around with my dslr. No particular genre of photography, I'm more of a what catches the eye type, like flowers, weeds, leaves, trees, birds, nature, or setup indoor photos, like abstract, colors, close up, oddments. I've been snapping about 4 years now, but have forgotten more than I've learnt (memory like a sieve), and do struggle with subjects or what to photigraph. But still enjoy it, especially when I actually like a photo I've taken, which is rare.
Looking forward to learning (or forgetting more) from like minded people. I still believe photography to be a wonderful hobby.
