After last week's debacle of batteries with the F4s - I decided to go back to Arlington, and take some more shots. Since we had a heavy rain last night - the temps were nice so I wondered around a bit more on the hunt to channel my inner "Grainydays" (youtube photographer who loves abandoned/dilapidated buildings.) Since it was overcast and cloudy - I had nature's diffuser on my side.
This time - the Nikon F4s was functioning as intended - and apparently my D800 in the camera bag must have had it's power switch flipped on when I stuffed it in there - so it was dead. However, not the kind of person to make the same mistake more than 4 or 8 times - I brought my entire battery bin with me.
I also took along the new-to-me Canon F-1 and the 50mmF1.4 I bought for it.
I am going to develop the film tonight (using a new to my batch o' chems - I am going to try FilmPhotographyProject's C41 kit.) I will post them up over the weekend. But for now here is some digital shots from the ol' D800 and the Nikon 80-400mm lens.
I will say, I rather like this one - despite either missing focus on the house, or the heat mirage making it a tab less sharp than I would like :
