thanks guys. i didn't make it any further south through the islands than this, the roads were flooded. so i left and headed west through north carolina. stopped in my old college town, ate some really good bbq and then north through the mountains, blue ridge pkwy and some of shenandoah national park.

thanks peter. the rest of the photo nearly was monochrome in real life. the water and sky were very close to the same shade of bluish grey.

thanks tom and pete. tom, initially i was a little unhappy they had a boat tied up to the dock, but then when i got closer and saw it was white and matched the lighthouse i was happy. they're usually bright orange monstrosities.
