Thanks Pete. I must say that I may tried too hard on this one. My reality eye was so much better than the results. Do you understand what I'm saying? I was excited about the shot real time...but very disappointed when I downloaded.

I know what you mean but the version that I can see is still very nice - I only have your word for it that it could have been even better!

What were you trying to capture out of interest?

The rose bud is too in your face...the background is too...well in the background. I think I needed more DOF? Otherwise, it's just the little things like around the bud the water is rippled...which doesn't show. Hey...it's the age old inability to capture exactly what you see...I guess.

Now I can see it is lying in water (just, I think). I thought it was wet gravel. Maybe from further away?
