Shadow In The Sky

On a Cornish north coast beach. I looked out to sea and saw what appeared to be black smoke descending from the sky. It was actually a shadow caused by the contrail.Or I believe to be volumetric shadows. It was much stronger than this but by the time I switched on the camera and shot , this was what was left, and a few seconds later it was gone. Spoke to the lifeguard after who said he had seen this a couple of times.

The first one is just unbeleivably good as well as strange. I don't know how long it was hanging there but you must have been quick.

Thanks Ivar, yes I needed to be quick, I think it hung around for about fifteen, maybe twenty seconds maybe , but time is always hard to judge when things are happening such as this.

You're faster than the gunslingers out west then. Temperature here, 26 Degrees C in the shade. I won't go west, Svalbard's calling. No complaint though. Cheers.
