what does anyone think about the three figures in dark clothing and one in light? I only just realised the potential of the tight crop!
Shogi is something like chess, apparently. these guys can be found in this spot pretty much every weekend

Well it certainly helps draw the eye in and stops the focal point drifting.

Yes, I'm with Pete. Your eye is drawn to the fellow on the left. After a moment your eye begins to explore the others.

For a moment there I thought Shogi was a Pokemon until I saw the image. As the others say the tight crop and intensity in the contrast works really well.

Shogi is the Japanese version of Chess, it's played with different pieces, board, and rules.
Nice shot, it really shows the concentration of the players.

The three shadowy darkly lit gents i really like . To me they are rather interesting.

I considered that. but decided that the theme of the shot was the ageing population, and therefore I needed the walking stick on the left. however, in the name of art
would be better if the spacing between the heads was even. just nitpicking maybe
