*sigh* I need help

Ok bitten off a little more then I can chew!..... I spent all day sunday doing a shoot for two fashion designers, I thought it would be a doddle. Now it turns out they all have bloody deadlines to meet! and muggins here has a mass of RAW files to process. Now this is not normally a problem as I generally take a year or two to get round to it.

All I want to know is there a simple way I can quickly convert the files to simple jpegs so they can send them to the people that matter and then let me know which ones they want processed?

I have this week to sort them *sigh*

I'm going to sew my wifes mouth shut so she cannot put my name forward any more!

Stressed Vic

If using camera RAW then you can batch save. Jpeg Tiff etc. I use it all the time for this sort of thing. If you have 1000's you will probably have to do it in batches as part of my workflow I resize all to 1200 x 600, small for email.

Hope this helps

CS4 will do them all in one go as a batch, speed dependant on your pc system.........!!

Download the trial of Adobe Lightroom and use that. It will be easy to export all the shots to JPEGS and with luck you can use LR to process the images if they get back in time. It's really good for fast processing of many shots. If you have any kids in school or college they can get a discount and buy it for around £65, details on the education section of the website. They are quite fast at sorting it as long as you provide the correct proof of being a student etc. you can use the trial and then activate it with the code later on.

Not sure what software you have Vic but I would use Lightroom. It would be quickest way by far and allow you to do quick tweeks and crops as you go. Basic learning curve is pretty shallow. You can download a fully working trial version from Adobe.

Import you images. Make any adjustments, crops etc. Select the ones you want (maybe by rating them as 4 or 5) then do file export. Choose your JPEG settings etc and off you go.

Thanks chaps, that'll help me a lot. I figured there was a way to do it but just didn't have the time to work it out. I've only just managed to work out who's was who's clothing!

Still stressed Vic

This won't help for this shoot but this is exactly the reason I shoot raw plus jpg. If I expect to just use the jpg files on the web it will be small jpg. If I expect someone else might need to see a bigger file I shoot raw plus large jpg.

Yourp only option I think is to batch process those raw files .still will take a lot of chewing by your CPU.
