SIGMA DP QUATTRO PLUS LOOP

Tried to find a thread to mention the DP1 Quattro has been announced. Thought a new thread for the Quattro may be the way. The Dp2 Quattro has been out a while now. The results I have seen have been very good and the jpeg quality appears to be a notch up from the Merril's. Anyway what is curious is the inclusion of a loop viewer with the DP1 Quattro, I presume an add on which will fit all three Quattro's. I wonder if it will fit the Merrill's? @Steve Boykin

I don't think it will fit the Merrills, but I don't feel I need it anyway.

I was looking forward to the release of the Quattro because I was also looking forward to a price drop on the Merrills. Haven't really seen that yet.

I think the drop to just over £339 was it Brian. The demand at that price seems to have achieved a waiting list so cannot see them dropping it further if that demand at that price is there.

Thanks, Julian. On Sigma's US website they are selling refurbished Merrill's for about $750 US, a whopping price drop of about $40.

No idea of the exchange rate but I think we maybe lucky here with them new at £339. Aught to have got one when in Prague maybe. But on the other hand we'd miss your film. Just looked up the rate we get them for $550 all things being equal.

Had a quick play with the new RX100 from Sony recently. This has a pop-up EVF and is very impressive.
