"Honestly, after reviewing this thing, I picked up my X100 to shoot for the weekend, and the X100 is soooo much better in every significant way! The X100 just goes, especially with its dual optical and electronic finder, brilliant ergonomics and fantastic colors and fill-flash in any light — and not only does Fuji not send me anything for Christmas; they didn't even let me into their press conference at CES last year!"
Just like guitars, you've got to ignore the reviews, get one in your hands, and play the ****er
Rob, its always worth baring in mind that Ken rockwell is a massive tool
I like the look of this camera... and whilst I dont feel it is particularly expensive, its too rich for my blood as a fixed lens camera.
Roll on the full frame nex I say!
Always read without context, never understood correctly, often lead to people thinking they didnt need a tripod ... one guy even thought his lens was broken when he wasnt getting sharp photos
gee, that almost sounds like you've paraphrased ren kockwell's about me page...
the rx1 looks pretty interesting, i love that more companies are putting the aperture ring back on the lens where it belongs. but $2800 USD? ouch. and as hamish said, fixed lens.. the photos on the ll site looked pretty nice, much better than what can be found on dpreview's samples pages usually. high iso seemed a little noisy.
It really does look like a nice camera (that I can't afford). Even if I could, I just couldn't get one without a viewfinder. The little add on OVF is almost $500. OUCH. All that said if I had $3300/3400 dollars just laying around I would probably be pressing submit on the Place Your Order now page. I just wonder if it's that much better than the X100 which I LOVE. I do wish the X100 had an ISO 50. Now if Fuji comes out with an X100 with the new sensor, I'm going to be looking for a second job.

Also- I don't get the whole Steve Huff/Ken Rockwell/fill in the blank websites. I have learned more about good photography here in the last couple months than on any of those sites. Just my two cents.
